HOW TO STAY YOUNG

1.
Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay 'them'

2.
Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.

3.
Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. 'An idle mind is the devil's workshop.' And the devil's name is Alzheimer's.

4.
Enjoy the simple things.

5.
Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.

6.
The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.

7.
Surround yourself with what you love , whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.

8.
Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9.
Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county; to a foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.

10.
Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER
:
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take,
but by the moments that take our breath away.

Worry about nothing, pray about everything
!!!

Below is the letter written by our global head of BAU solution, very formal and useful to study how to use professional written English.

Dear colleagues,

Q1 Performance

We are pleased to report that the BAU Solutions business continued delivering above budget profitability in Q1, with New Orders and Revenue slightly behind budget. Both need increased attention in Q2. At this point we would like to thank you and your teams for your contribution during the first quarter which led to a positive result despite the global economy trend.

The above budget profitability is contributing to the BAU and BT business performance. In Q1 our Revenue Margin developed above the comparable period in the Previous Year, which shows a significant improvement and a more consistent quarterly performance of the Solutions business. So the strong performance of the last quarter of BY2008 carried through into the first quarter of BY2009.

The run for the second quarter is at full speed and it is important that we work closely with our customers to win high potential New Orders and to continue a high level of execution quality to show we are a leading and long term reliable solution partner.

In todays tough economic climate it is more important than ever that the field organisation is using the tools and resources at your disposal to be efficient and effective in your market activities. Levers for competitiveness include the use of the Graphic and Engineering Centres for low cost engineering, Sales and Offering tools, Marketing materials, knowledge banks (references@BT, Step, Beacon), the D.A.S and PM networks, BEQ for PM@BT trainings, Customized Solutions, BAU Development, the vertical market managers and the BAU International Branch.

Despite the market condition we are very strong in the more stable market segments and we still see many significant project opportunities.
Please keep your sales teams focused closing New Orders and delivering a sustainable backlog, but also further initiate actions to reduce Receivables and Inventories on project level, to improve the overall Cash situation.

That’s the key to success for BT and BAU!

Best regards,

Belongings

An American priest named Pierre has been giving a lot of hope to people during more than 60 years, with his outstanding wisdom. One day, a middle-aged man asked help from Mr. Pierre to make sure how to do next when all of his enterprises had been broken gradually after he was always hardworking and made all his efforts ,and meanwhile he felt loss everything in his life.

Then Mr. Pierre took a piece of paper and turned to ask him “As you said, nothing exists in your life so please tell me what has been left, do you have your wife?” The man replied certainly “I have the wife who supports me at any time and never says a word. She is quite excellent.”

Mr. Pierre wrote down the short phrase excellent wife in the paper and yet asked “Have you some children?” The man also replied for certain “I have 3 children who are very kind and lovely.”

“How about your friends”? The priest asked. “My friends are not only selfless but also admiring”. The man replied with no hesitation.

Mr. Pierre also wrote down the words selfless and admiring friends in the paper.

“Do you have a good health” Mr. Pierre asked as earlier.

“Currently what is confident for me is only my good health, it seems very well”. The man gave his feedback quickly.

Had been questioned completely, the man was asked to look the paper carefully in which Mr. Pierre wrote down the words then he suddenly shouted “Mr. Pierre, thank you very much! I realize that there are still so many priceless belongings around me though I deem I have missed everything, which will encourage me to stand up again”.

Nowadays, in case we feel have nothing left in our life, we should take a piece of paper to wrote down all the left belongings, which is always much more than we expect. After all, what we really devote our life to is not merely a job.

Secret of Success

Mr. Basiwer is the boss of a hardware shop and is ready to recruit a new sales person. Many youngster come to the interview. Only three candidates reached the final round, Tyler, John and Bob. Mr.Basiwer designed a question in the final. He gave each of them a new kind of screwdriver and asked them deliver to Mr Handson living in the No.314 Maple Street.

For a short moment, Tyler called to ask if the number was wrong because the No.413 existed instead of No.314.For another moment, he came back and said there was no house according to the given address. The second candidate John returned and reported the No.314 was a funeral home and the Mr. Handson had already made a move to an unknown address, who once lived in No.314-1/2.

Bob spent much more time than others. What Bob found was equal to John but he tried to inquire about his new address. While he arrived, Mr.Handson could’t remember that he ordered this screwdriver. After Bob introduced the special functions and low price of the new product, Mr.Handson was convinced to buy. He paid money for it on the spot.

Who was accepted in the final? Of course is Bob. He finished work without any excuses and his moving pace wasn’t stopped by any obstacles

Effort is the secret of success!

You are near with me,

but seems far away.

I need your love,

I need your encouragement,

But     you keep quiet.

You are shouting at me,

Only because I made a small mistake.

I am tired, I am suffered,

Could I rely on your shoulder?

Could you hold me closely?

I am weak, I am hungry,

Please donot go ahead me,

Please donot go behind me,

Please go in line with me.....

1.As I understand, bigger company usually has a higher cost in running the complex organization, with more rigid procedures, and with much more difficulty to make the best of the individuals’ minds. Smaller companies, on the contrary, usually are more flexible, efficient, and subject to individuals’ wills. One contribution, as I think now at least, is to leverage the flexibility and efficiency of small organization in a complex environment. It is not easy, but very interesting. I am now reading the book ‘Jack Welch: guts from straights’, where proposes an interesting idea, getting rid of the boundary between different departments, and functions and freeing the mind of each employee, etc. The most important two things are passions and imaginations!

2.Management without leadership is a recipe for mediocrity. Leadership without management is a recipe for disaster.

Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak. Courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you feed him for life.
