North Harbour-based coaches Thomas Ansorg and Scott Talbot shared the honour of swim coach of the year from the Swim Coaches tiffany heart toggle bracelet and Teachers annual conference. Ansorg coached Moss Burmester to 11th placing in the 200-metre butterfly at the Fina world championships, while Talbot coached Hayley Palmer to 11th in the 100m freestyle tiffany heart necklace at the same meet.

Dunedin's Jill Clarke received the Master Swim Teacher Award.
