Audiences will be challenged on matters of love and passion in a show by North East dance theatre company the Fathom Project.

The company's double bill Slight (Love at First Sight) and Between Here and There will feature many emotions and symbols associated with the heart.

Australian-born dancer Wendy Erickson promoted the show clutching red heartshaped balloons to symbolise love, which plays a major role in the company's show.

Slight (Love at First Sight) is a performance that includes humour, poetry, light and the occasional waltz in a realm of small hurts, rejections and failings.

Between Here and There, commissioned by Newcastle's Dance City in collaboration with Molly Sturges, is based on conversations with people who have experienced, or are experiencing being without a home.
