2) Metaphor：(暗喻）It is like a simile, also makes a comparison between two unlike elements, but unlike a simile,

在alive, afraid, alone, ashamed等表语形容词前面用very much或much修饰，不用very修饰。例如：

I am（very） much afraid that he will be late.

The man is much alone.

The wounded were (very) much alive.

但在asleep前面用fast修饰，不用very, much或very much修饰。例如：

He is fast asleep.
