1.2 Introductions 介绍
2007-04-17 11:31

Ⅰ. Basic Expressions

A: Hi, Sue. Who is the tall girl over there?

B: That's my cousin, Mary. Perhaps I should introduce you to her.

relative=亲戚;in-law=亲家;nephew=侄子,外甥;niece=侄女,外甥女;colleague=同事;superior=上司;tutor=导师;coach=教练;roommate=室友;teammate=队友;partner=搭档;buddy=好朋友;pen-pal=笔友;country fellow=老乡

西方人似乎不太在乎这位亲戚是父亲这边的(on the father's side)还是母亲那边的(on the mother's side),一视同仁,给一个称呼。
