East Island of Zhanjiang 湛江东海岛<南中国第一流的海滨娱乐胜地>

朋友们，我今天带领大家去参观一下湛江的东海岛。下面，我先介绍湛江东海岛的一些情况。除台湾、海南、崇明岛三大岛屿外，东海岛在我国众多的海岛当中，轮资排行第五。这个岛屿由于濒临南海，是南中国第一流的海滨娱乐胜地。

Dear friends, today, we are going to visit East Island of Zhanjiang. Well, I’d like to tell you something about it first. East Island of Zhanjiang is the fifth among the islands of China, after Taiwan 、Hainan and Chongming islands, the three largest islands. This island is the first-class seashore resort of southern China, for it is close to south sea.

现在整个东海岛地区都被划定为东海岛经济开发试验区。这个区是1992年7月经广东省人民政府批准设立的，有东海、硇洲、东头山和南屏4个岛，管辖着东山、民安、东简和硇洲4个镇，总面积491平方公里，总人口20万人，是我国面积最大的经济开发试验区。

　　The whore district of east island is built as an economic development testing zone. The zone was established under the approval of Administration of Guangdong province .It is the largest testing zone of economic development in China, there are 200 thousand populations in total. And the whole acreage is 491 square meters ,which contains four islands ,Donghai 、Naozhou、Dongtoushan and Nanping ，controling four towns, Dongshan、Minan、Dongjian and Naozhou .

它地处湛江市区东南方，位于北纬20和东经110度之间。这里东可出太平洋，南下东南亚，西倚我国大西南，是我国与印度洋、太平洋沿岸国家和欧洲海陆的重要交汇点，也是中国西南金三角经济区的进出口咽喉之地。

　　It is located in the southeast of Zhanjiang. It lies at 20 north latitude and between 110 degrees of east longitudes It is the crossover of Indian Ocean、the Pacific coastal countries and Europe ,and it is the throat of the golden triangle economic zone of southwest in China. You are able to be arrived by Pacific Ocean from the east ,southeast Asia on its south and southwest of China .

　　东海岛是我国第五大岛，广东第一大岛，拥有位居中国第一长、世界第二长的沙滩——金沙滩。海滩带长足28公里，仅次于澳大利亚的黄金海岸。现在的东海岛开发区的海岸线总长达192公里，约占湛江全市海岸线的12％。

　　EastIsland is the fifth islands of china, the NO.1 of Guangdong Province .It is the home of the Golden Beach, which is the longest beach in China and the second longest in the world. The beach extends 28 miles which is ranked the second of Golden Coast in Australia. The total length of development zone is 192 miles ,covering 12% of the coast line of Zhanjiang city.

位于海岛东部的龙海天省级旅游度假区，是由山峰、坡谷、丘陵、海洋、沙滩、森林构成的天然旅游胜地。

　　Longhaitian provincial resort is located on the east of the island.It is a place of nature beauty which is covered by peaks 、slopes、 valleys、 sea、 beach、 and forests .

然而，美丽的东海岛在历史上屡经变迁，历史严格也是十分的复杂。海岛上的“东山圩”就是现在的东山镇。宋朝绍兴时这里曾是椹川的巡检司旧址。明洪武、正统年间，官兵曾在东山圩建筑城池，设置“椹川巡检司”。清雍正年间，将雷州守备合并移置于东山圩，这里也也改名为“东山水师营”了。

Therefore, the beautiful Donghai Island has come alive through changes in its sophisticated history. Dongshanwei on the island is the Dongshan town nowadays. There used to be the old site of Ispection Office of Shenchuan in Song dynasty. The officers have ever set up their capitals in Dongshanwei and established Shenchuan Inspection Office in the years around Minghongwu ,zhengtong. During the Yongzheng years of Qing dynasty , there changed to be “Dongshan marine” when the Leizhou officer was united and moved to Dongshanwei.

改革开放后的1992年，广东省人民政府批准设立“湛江市东海岛经济开发试验区”。除担负经济开发职能外，该实验区同时还作为湛江市政府的派出机构，担负下辖东海岛、硇洲岛等岛屿上东山、民安、东简和硇洲4个镇的社会管理任务。

In 1992 after reform and opening-up, the government of Guangdong Province setting up " the economic development zone of East Island.”Except to shoulder the economic development , the testing zone is also as the expedite organization of Zhanjiang government .It controls Donghai island , Naozhou island and the social administration task of four towns of Dongshan , Minan , Dongjian and Naozhou.

将来还会建设一个年吞吐量为1.5亿吨以上的国际大港和码头。建好的东海港距香港221海里，离新加坡1320海里。它将是中国大陆通往东南亚、非洲、大洋州航程最短的港口。

In the future, an international harbor and dock about 150million tons of throughput will be build. The established east harbor is 211 sea miles from Hongkong, 1320 sea miles away from Singgapore. This will be the the shortest voyage from the harbor to Southeast Asia , Africa , Oceania.

全区的近海渔场辽阔，海生资源十分丰富，计有经济鱼类580种、贝类527种、虾类32种。此外，鲍鱼、龙虾等名贵海产珍品也很丰富。硇洲鲍鱼更是历代上贡给皇帝的贡品，在国内外久负盛名。

The whore area has broad in-shore fishery with affluent sea resources , and contains 580 kinds of economic fish , 527 kinds of shellfishes and 32 kinds of shrimp . Besides, precious marine products such as abalones and lobsters are very abundant here.The Naozhou abalones used to be given as the tribute to Emperor. It has a long standing reputation in China and abroad.

在岛的东部有长15公里、宽1－3公里的防护林带，足有5万亩之多，它们被誉为“南海的绿色长城”。林带外面还有28公里长的“金沙滩”，这是旅游度假的胜地。这里的海湾呈新月形，沙细且白。岛内的景色也十分独特，各种异国情调的别墅群，别具风采的民族村，天然形成的温泉泳池，蔚为壮观的红树林，饮誉中外的鲍鱼龙虾，也同样令游人目不暇接。

Shelter belt is on the east of the island, which is 15miles long and 1-3 miles wide, covering 50 thousand hectares .They are called “the green great wall in Nainan” . The fantastic resort “Golden beach” which stretching for 28 miles is outside the forest belt .The bays are shaped like a crescent with mild and white sands. Scenery in the island is also unique. There are different kinds of villas with foreign style, some special ethnic villages, hot spring pools, spectacular forests and etc.. All these special and stuff attract thoundsands of travelers come here for traveling.

今年来，东海岛旅游度假区曾先后举办过各种各样的文体娱乐活动，包括全国沙滩排球赛、风筝表演、东海“人龙舞”表演、中秋之夜烟花晚会、“大海的风采大型文艺晚会”。1996年和1997年，旅游区成功承办了全国沙滩排球赛和世界杯帆船赛暨奥运精英赛。

In recent years , Donghai island resort has held various entertainment activities such as the National Beach Volleyball competition, the flying-kite performance, Donghai “Human and Dragon dance perfomance, Mid-autumn Festival Party and so on. From 1996-1997, the resort has successfully held National Beach Volleyball Competition and World Cup of sailboating which an elite Olimpic Competition .

与东海岛相映成趣的是吉兆湾海滩旅游区，它距离湛江市区仅65公里，并被誉为“南国风光经典”。那里的海滩十里九湾，湾如新月，沙似浇金。水清、沙莹、石美、林密，一湾一景，真不愧为南国风光的“经典”。吉兆湾甚至还被人们美称为“小三亚”。每逢遇到正月元宵佳节，湾里还可观赏到闻名中外的“吴川三绝”－花桥、泥塑与飘色。

Jizhaowan beach resort is across over the Donghai island and is only 65miles from Zhanjiang city. It is called “the classic sample of southern scenery ” . The beach looks like a crescent shaped turnings and is with golden sand. It is also famous for clear water , beautiful sands and stones and heavy forests .Surely it is the “classic” of southern scenery. Jizhaowan has even gained the reputation of “Small Sanya in Hainan Island”. Well, you can enjoy the three wonders of Wuchuan here —— flower bridge , clay sculpture and local opera during Lantern Festival in the first month of lunar year.
