今天咱们来扯一下英语中一个很常见的后缀——er。它表示做某一动作的主体，可以是人，如cleaner, waiter等，还有新出现的blogger。也可以是物，这里就来举例重点说一下：

computer：用来compute的东西，即计算机。

pointer：用来point 来point 去的东西，即指针。（鼠标指针就是mouse pointer。）

server：用来serve的东西，即服务器。（对它还不了解，以后再详细说明。）

browser：browse有“浏览”的意思，用来browse的东西就是浏览器了，是一个程序，用来浏览网页。

adapter：用来adapt的东西，即适配器。以前有复读机的时候用过，家庭电压是220伏，而复读机只能承受6伏，所以需要有一个adapter。

player：play有“播放”的意思，player就是播放器了，现在市场上有mp3 player, audio player, CD player等等等等。

folder：fold有“折起，叠好”的意思，folder就是[电脑屏幕上的图标，表示信息存储位置的]文件夹。

printer：打印机。

heater：暖气机，加热器。

speaker：[收音机，电脑等的]扬声器。

transmitter：[发送无线电或电视信号的]发射机，发报机。

receiver：[电话]听筒。话筒大概就是sender了。
