AMAXUS Polycarbonate Sheet The Ultimate High-Strength Glazing Materials:
The family of versatile AMAXUS glazing materials offers unmatched protection for people and property and exceptional design flexibility for architects. Virtually unbreakable, with impact resistance 250 times greater than glass and 30 times greater than acrylic. AMAXUS sheet products are the ideal choice for vertical, overhead and sloped glazing whenever durability and safety are as important as good looks.
Available in grades that stand up to everything from ultraviolet degradation, abrasion resistance and flying baseballs to high winds, AMAXUS PC sheet products can provide excellent light transmission, weather-ability (non-yellowing) and energy efficiency. Only a fraction of the weight of glass, AMAXUS sheet is easier to install and requires less structural support. AMAXUS glazing material can be cold-formed to tight radii on site or thermoformed to complex shapes.
There are two major products:
Abrasion and UV-Resistance Flat Vertical Glazing. Application- Schools and institutions; Storefronts and windows, especially for high- rise building: Entrance doors and patios; Space enclosures; Railings and barriers.
UV-protected, Cold-Formable Overhead and Vertical Glazing. Application- Sloped and vertical glazing; Skylights and barrel vaults; Covered walkways and canopies; Sound barriers (For Highways), and weather resistant signs.
