3月17日，Google全球CEO埃里克·斯密特（Eric Schmidt）在北京访问期间，宣布在中国大陆推出“云计算（Cloud Computing）”计划。

　　“云计算”是一个新兴概念，被认为是Google下一阶段的重要战略。目前的计算模式以传统的个人电脑为中心，而“云计算”则是将计算和数据分布在大量的分布式计算机上，用户可以通过多种接入方式，比如电脑和手机方便地接入网络获得应用和服务。
