【摘要】 《红楼梦》在一个整体“命运”构架中包含有双重结构：象征性结构和写实性结构。“命运”构架预设了主要人物的遭际归宿。贾宝玉生于“诗和簪缨之族，花柳繁华地，温柔富贵乡”，而终于“觉悟”出家，既是这个命运构架的基干，也是写实性结构的基本情节线索。象征性结构中最重要的是“甄士隐”的故事和太虚幻境的梦幻故事。甄士隐从一僧一道的“好了歌”获得启示，悟到“好即是了”，于是出家。这个故事和太虚幻境的故事是一致的，预示了贾宝玉未来由“迷”而“悟”的“好了”。象征性结构的设置和写实性结构相辅相成，起着诸如提示、说明等等的作用，灌注的是“命运”观念。如甄士隐、太虚幻境和警幻仙姑、一僧一道等等，均如此。《红楼梦》第一回说：“更于篇中间用‘梦’、‘幻’等字，却是此书本旨，兼寓提醒阅者之意。”“只愿世人当那醉余睡醒之时，或进事消愁之际，把此一玩，不但洗旧翻新，却也省了些寿命筋力，不更去谋虚逐妄了。”这便首先从甄士隐的故事中体现出来。甄士隐“觉悟”后，即超越世俗不再“谋虚逐妄”了。第一回又说，空空道人“因空见色，由色生情，传情入色，自色悟空”，见之于写实性结构，就是贾宝玉的“觉悟”过程。“佛者，觉也。”在禅宗，“佛”乃是人内心体验的“觉悟”...
