My opinion:
I think 3rd party application security problems will still be the biggest issue in 2009.
Because of Microsoft did a better job at Windows security and IE security last years so hackers will using more and more 3rd party security vulnerabilities to attack internet users.
About hottest issues:
1. XSS worms on SNS platform, we found almost every web2.0 sns platform is vulnerable to XSS problems
2. Apple OS X security issue will be very hot. More and more costumers are using OS X related product(including Iphone), we noticed lot of security expert will working on this area, we think there is no major worm on OS X not because it is secure but hacker can't get more profit from it:)
3. Mobile security, i think more and more hackers are interesting in this area, because there are lot of smart phone OS platform out there so massive attacking is very hard but recently iphone, blackberry and windows mobile geting so popular I think mobile security
