Schlitterbahn Waterpark
New Braunfels, Texas, United States
Schlitterbahn Waterpark has been named best water park in America for 10 years in a row. Schlitterbahn, German for "slippery road," boasts more than 40 rides on 65 acres.
On the Master Blaster, a 1,000-foot-long water coaster, powerful streams of water push boats down thrilling drops and around pretzel-shaped curves. Would-be surfers can practice at Boogie Bahn, where 50,000 gallons of water per minute form continuous waves.
Atlantis
Paradise Island, Bahamas
Called the largest water-themed attraction in the world, the 97-acre Atlantis complex contains over twenty million gallons of water. The largest beach resort in the Americas, Atlantis boasts a man-made lagoon for dolphin encounters.
The newly built Aquaventure section offers a maze of rivers, pools and slides that rises from the edge of a white-sand beach. The chief attraction is Leap of Faith, a 60-foot, almost-vertical drop into a clear tunnel submerged in a shark-filled pool

---Now one of these attractions is called the Leap of Faith, which is a vertical drop through a clear tunnel in a shark-filled pool. But Vickie, what exactly does a leap of faith mean? Are we really talking about a leap or a jump?
---Well, the leap of faith in the lesson really does involve a jump or a leap because that's what the attraction makes you do. But when we talk about a leap of faith, we usually refer to an act of believing in something without available evidence.
---So why the world leap?
---Well, you can imagine an acrobat in the circus. When the leaps away from the platform, he needs to have faith that if he falls down, there's a safety net underneath him that will catch him.
---So that's where the faith comes in.
---That's right. The acrobat has faith that he won't crash to the ground because there's a net under him.

---Sure, let me give you an example. A lot of couples want to wait until they've saved up enough money to have a baby. But some couples just take a leap of faith and have a baby as soon as they get married.

The world's largest indoor water park, Tropical Islands covers 16 acres and can hold up to 7,000 visitors. With authentically designed beaches ─ and a roof that allows sunlight to come in ─ this park offers a resort-like atmosphere.
The park also boasts Germany's highest water slide, on which riders can reach speeds of up to 70 km/h. And guests shouldn't miss Tropical Islands' unique indoor rainforest, which brims with banana trees and coffee bushes.
Wet 'n Wild
Orlando, Florida, United States
The world's first modern water park, Wet 'n Wild opened in 1977 and has been serving excited guests ever since. Located in sunny Florida, this park is open year round.
At Bomb Bay, visitors stand on a door that opens without warning and sends them down a wet, 76-foot plunge. A ride called The Storm spins park guests in circles at high speeds until it treats them to a splash landing. And on the interactive Hydra Fighter, riders control the water pressure that sends them twisting and turning.
While a simple swimming pool could cool you off, these parks make it a lot more fun!
