在网上流传的非官方测试版Vista SP1已经不是什么秘密了。
目前流传的Vista SP1一般都是非正式版或测试版Beta/RC（这种非正式版可能会存在一些问题），目前SP1正式版暂还没有中文版，想要安装SP1正式版可通过修改区域设置跟切换英文语言包让系统认为默认为英语然后进行安装，EDIKID建议普通用户暂时不要安装SP1请等待中文正式版。
3.18日微软发布了Vista SP1正式版，Windows Vista SP1与Windows XP SP2不同，不会提供新功能或者打破现有的应用程序格局。但是，SP1却提供了许多有价值的改变，包括新版的内核以及一些性能、可靠性、兼容性的改进，许多小功能的改变，当然还有之前发布的许多补丁集合。
