
独立艺术家,1982年生,毕业于中国美术学院。从美院念书的第2年开始到现在一直思考着如何做关于剧场的作品,2004-2006年学习最基本的剧场语言,创建十个手腕八件西服戏剧卫生间。剧场实践初始仅仅是根据一些非线性画面情境和画面构成上的点线面空间用剧场语言来营造现场。作品有《关于鲁迅的木质纹理》、《他们来了》、《露露睫毛的八小时检验》。2007年继续探究绘画和剧场间的脉络,确定了近几年要做的物件装置剧场方向,作品有《临江仙》、《9.3》、《1.2》、《可惜那无情的春风吹落了鲜花吹走了芬芳并带着无限的感伤偷偷整理丝裙》,并制作和剧场有关的绘画作品。2008年开始策划妈妈拉剧场艺术节。

Dai Chenlian
Independent artist born in 1982. Graduated from the Chinese Academy of Fine Arts and now living and working in Hangzhou.
In his second year at the academy he began thinking about how to create works for the theatre, studying the basic language of theatre from 2004 to 2006, where he established the group The Toilet of 10 Wrists and 8 Suits in the Theatre. At the same time he experimented in using the language of theatre to present the sectioned scenes of pictures and points, lines, and flat surfaces in drawing and painting shown in the works About Woody Texture of LuXun, They are Coming, and 8 Hours Examination of LuLu’s Eye Lash.
In 2007, he continued to research the thread between fine art and theatre, defining the direction of his work in the next few years as object-installation theatre and presenting works such as Lin JiangXian, 9.3, 1.2 and What a pity is the merciless wind in spring, dropping the fresh flowers, taking the fragrance away, and making the silk skirt stealthy with unlimited sentimentality. In 2008 he organized the first MaMaLa Theatre Festival in Shanghai.
'I am always going to draw outside to study and to observe in other fields, and then bring it back into theatre. Any misunderstanding of others is acceptable to me, and it will help me to understand myself better.'
