The Gardens Of The Nations In Targoszyn
Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences
Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences is going to launch the project “the Gardens of Nations” in Targoszyn, 70 km from Wrocław, on a plot of 18 ha. The objective of the garden design is to make people familiar with the nature and cultures of the countries which our university maintains cooperation with. An additional value and attraction to the garden will be a cycle of events, including performances of folk ensembles (following the example of the Centre of Polynesian Culture in Hawaii) from the countries of our partner universities and other enjoyable events presenting traditions of the respective countries. The organiser of the project, i.e. the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Geodesy welcomes all the partner institutions to participate in this project. The first step of the project would be a kick-off meeting of the participants when agenda of the project organisation would be determined and the result of the contest for the garden project would be announced. At further stages, we would be happy to receive support from the participating institutions for purchase and delivery of plants and equipment for the garden. Afterwards, collaboration would be expected in the field of garden management, planning performances of folk bands and other events promoting traditions and cultures of the participating countries.
