Daniel Mendoza

Daniel Mendoza,who was one of the colouful figures in boxing history,was born in 1764 and died in 1836.When he was 14 years old,he rose to fame after a boxing match as a prizfighter.Then Richard Humphries taught him and Mendoza was quick to learned.Humphries soon became jealous of Mendoza's success,so he tuened against him.they fought at Stilton,but Mendoza lost.After this they fought again,and unfortunately Mendoza lost again.He didn't beat Humphries until 1790,and became Champin of England.Meanwhile,he founded a boxing Academy,he earned a lot of money.Beacause of his wast of life,Mendoza was always in debt.He was sent to prison beacause he couldn't pay his debt and died in poverty.But he made a contribution to boxing because he brought science to it.
